The ‘Law of Attraction’ – What’s Love Got To Do With It?

The ‘Law of Attraction’ – What’s Love Got To Do With It?

Let’s face it:

For most people… trying to “manifest their desires” through thinking, visualizing, acting, and so on according to the prevailing principles of leveraging the ‘Law of Attraction’ to their advantage seems to yield little result… if any result at all.

It seems to work for some people, while it doesn’t for others.

It seems to work under certain conditions, but not in others.

In fact, results seem totally arbitrary… hit-or-miss… not even marking a 50/50 chance of success.

We hear about the relatively small amount of positive results… but we hear little about the alarming failure rate that’s the dreadful reality for the majority of the millions of faithful practitioners around the globe.

So what’s the deal with that? Are we missing something here?

As you probably know, you’re often taught to focus on what you want.

And obviously, focusing on what you want is much better than focusing on what you don’t want.

But judging from the results for most people… the ‘focusing on what you want’ in the way people are currently doing it hasn’t led to consistent manifesting.

So could it be that there’s an element that doesn’t get the emphasis it requires?

You can bet your sweet bippy there is. That element is ‘love’.

“What, you mean how I love my spouse? You mean I need to do the wild thing for this stuff to work? Why didn’t you say so right away?!”

Well “Tone Loc”… before you rip off all your clothes… I’m not really referring to that kind of love.

What I’m referring to is a more universal game of love… which is a whole different ballgame compared to the regular game of fancying someone and ‘getting busy’.

Let me explain…

First of all, it would go too far to get into a full exposition of the nature of the ocean of consciousness that we call ‘the universe’ here, and how you’re an inseparable part of it… true enough with unique point of perception… but seamlessly connected to the whole nonetheless.

Our other articles and our Revolutioniz package go into more details of that… and especially our upcoming ‘Crack Your Egg’ program goes into a mind-blowing amount of detail of the mechanics of that.

For the purposes of this article, suffice it to say that ‘universal love’ is the balance of all… stillness… peace of mind… which can take on many forms.

In this regard, universal love can be considered things like:

Acceptance of yourself for who you really are…

Acceptance of others for who they really are…

Freedom to express uniqueness… without seeking to impose anything on anyone else…

Projecting this at yourself, ‘universal love’ is the freedom for you to be who you really want to be… the person who you truly are inside… which is not necessarily what others think you should be.

Projecting this at others, ‘universal love’ is the freedom for others to be who they really want to be… the persons who they truly are inside… not what you or anyone else think they should be.

‘Universal love’ in that regard is never seeking to impose anything on anyone (including yourself)… and simply allowing unique creative energies to manifest themselves naturally… without the artificially imposed norms coloring the definition of how that should take place.

(This is part of what we call the ‘Law of Love’ in our Revolutioniz program.)

And this is exactly what most people seem to forget in life…

I mean, let’s be honest:

What are you trying to “manifest” in life?

Your heart’s true desires?

Or the externally imposed symbols that are collectively decreed to be the essentials of ‘success’?

People get into this whole ‘Law of Attraction’ thing because they want to live the life of their dreams… But let me ask you:

What is the ‘life of your dreams’ anyway?

Is it living the artificial image of what others think you should be?

Of course not. It’s the life of being who they truly are inside, and the happiness and abundance in any area that come with living that image.

The thing is this:

You already know at the deepest level of your being what you desire. And so there’s no need to put any additional focus on it. You’re automatically doing that, once you reconnect to the core of who you really are and love yourself for being that!

Now… to make that reconnection, you need to remove the obstacles to the awareness of who you really are. In other words, you need to crack your egg.

Once you do that, you give full expression to your true nature… the unique expression of ‘consciousness’ that you really are.

So here’s what’s going wrong for most people:

Most people get interested in the ‘Law of Attraction’ because of the possibilities they see for effortless personal material gain and selfish interests.

Now don’t get me wrong, because there’s nothing inherently wrong with material wealth, as has been clearly explained in earlier articles or ours.

If you’ve read our earlier articles, you know that these material objects are frequency patterns anyway… mere illusions just like everything else. It’s okay to enjoy them. No problem at all.

However, they become a problem once they’re seen as the very things that should testify of your alleged ‘success’ in your desires for the confirmation of other people that you’re okay.

This desire for other people’s approval inherently implies that you think you’re not okay, which means that you lack self-love.

After all, if you’d love yourself for who you really are, you wouldn’t have a desire for others to confirm that, would you?

As such, it’s important to realize that it’s never materialism or the desire for personal gain that manifests your desires. As long as your desires are motivated by such selfish interests, you can visualize all day long… but you’ll never get what you really want.

Again, the material objects themselves are not the problem… As said, they’re just frequency patterns that are more than okay to enjoy. But the missing element to consistent manifesting here is LOVE.

That’s what’s love’s got to do with it.

Do you think that your efforts in practicing the principles of leveraging the Law of Attraction will work for you if you don’t even allow yourself to live your life the way you really want to live it deep down inside?

Love is not a feeling or emotion. It’s the essence of who you are.

You may have been taught that you need to think positive thoughts to attract positive things…

You may have been taught to think thoughts that make you feel good, give you warm feelings, and so on…

But most people are forgetting to pay attention to the one thing that completely outperforms any artificially created positive thought:

‘Love’ – the universal freedom to express consciousness in your unique and natural way.

Achievement derived from this state of being produces a sense of accomplishment and joy that’s much more enduring than achievements (if they occur in the first place) resulting from selfish aims.

And besides, that state of loving yourself for who you really are and allowing yourself to express that in your life is the starting point for anything you choose to enjoy from there… even material wealth.

The difference would be that you have no need for it anymore in order to confirm that you’re okay… You’ll already know that you’re okay. You can playfully enjoy it if you choose, but you’ll have let go of the ‘wanting it at all cost’.

So where to start?

Well, ask yourself:

- What are your strengths?

- What do you excel in?

- What are your unique talents?

- What can you do better than most others?

- What are your passions?

- What makes your heart sing?

- What can you do for hours, that makes you lose track of time and fills you with energy and joy?

Whatever your answer is, make time for that in your life.

Then see if you can use what you’re doing for the benefit of others… no matter how small-scale your reach is at first.

Enjoy the flow you’ll experience. And then just watch what happens in your life!

As the Beatles song goes:

“All you need is love!” ;-)

The Greatest Advice Of All Time?

The Greatest Advice Of All Time?

So why are you interested in the ‘Law of Attraction’ anyway?

Obviously, it’s about doing what you really want to do with your life.

We’ve said it repeatedly, quoting the wise man’s adage:

Money and fame do not happiness make.

Of course, they may help in being happy. For example, it’s pretty nice not having to worry about money. Let’s face it… Most people like money. And others like fame, and many like both.

The thing is… money and fame are usually merely external confirmations of the fact that you’re being happy and doing what you want with your life already.

If you are, money and fame are usually no issues anymore. You either don’t care about them because you’re being happy anyway. Or (many times) they may come as side-effects, or symptoms caused by the fact that you’re already being happy with yourself and your life.

That’s where the principle of being happy and grateful for what happens to you and the situation you’re in is relevant.

Clearly, money and fame are really different things compared to the desire for money and fame. The desire for implies that you’re not being happy and grateful right now, thinking you need money and/or fame in order to be happy and do what you want with your life.

This underlying feeling of needing (and thus the deeply-engrained feeling of lack) determines what you send out… the frequency you broadcast if you will. And this frequency ‘attracts’ a like frequency, and this is the mechanism through which needing pushes things away in a very small nutshell.

Anyway, this is something we’ve talked about more at length in other articles, so we’re not going to repeat this anymore.

In this article we want to get into something a bit more concrete… something more practical to use in your life. This might sound simple, but upon deeper thought it may just be the greatest word of advice of all time…

You know, according to the American physicist, philosopher and management expert Danah Zohar, doing what you really want with your life requires what she calls ‘Spiritual Intelligence’. It’s about your own, personal, deeper actuating motives.

Zohar says that self-development and purpose/meaning are principles that are central to spiritual intelligence. When you’re in touch with your own ‘inner universe’, you can develop your talents and give full scope to your natural gifts.

As such, you’ll live the life that fully matches who you are (which is not necessarily the life that others think you’re supposed to live). Within yourself, you’ll discover your own actuating motives and what really inspires and animates you.

Zohar says that when you manage to live your life from that inspiration, you’re quite a happy person. This pretty much connects to what the American psychologist Abraham Maslow (who came up with the so-called ‘hierarchy of needs’ aiming to explain human motivation) called ‘self actualization’.

According to Maslow, self-actualization is the ultimate state of human development, a spiritual condition in which people are creative, ‘playful’, and tolerant. And if you’ve read our books and articles, you know that these are the very conditions that facilitate the extent to which you can ‘work’ the ‘laws of the universe’ (if you want to call them that).

And you know what? There’s actually a specific group of people who can teach us a lot about this state of ‘creativity’, ‘playfullness’ and ‘tolerance’, or rather ‘spiritual intelligence’…

These people are children. Kids are almost the very paragon of spiritual intelligence.

Of course, this doesn’t mean we should all start behaving in infantile ways. However, we can start to look at the world more like children do. We could start to re-invent and re-discover the qualities that we so often lose in the process of what’s called ‘growing up’ and ‘becoming adults’.

Those qualities are:

Being open
Trust
Sincerity
Being genuine
Curiosity
Eager to learn
Generosity
Feeling adventurous
Wonder and astonishment on the least things…
And not to forget: unconditional love.

Let’s face it… People who are living life like this are pleasant company, both to themselves and to others.

Spiritual intelligence has got nothing to do with religion or faith. Of course, both are fine if pursuing them makes you feel good inside, if pursuing them is your own choice if it’s not imposed on you by others.

No, spiritual intelligence is about self-reflection and intuition. There’s a difference between what many consider ‘being spiritual’ and ‘spiritual intelligence’.

You can do reiki, qigong, meditation, burn incense, do rain dances in wildlife outfits all day and read books about ‘spirituality’. And of course that’s all fine if that makes you feel good.

However, ‘spiritual intelligence’ rather refers to making the choices that suit you and actually consciously experiencing and feeling the satisfaction and feeling of fulfillment and self-realization that come with that.

That’s what’ll make you happy.

So what’s potentially the greatest advice of all time?

REMAIN CHILDLIKE.

Be open. Be adventurous. Be curious. Be eager to learn. Be genuine, not least to yourself. Don’t judge. Acknowledge the wonder of life and the amazing experience it brings.

After all, it seems so real, doesn’t it?

In the words of the late comedian Bill Hicks:

“The world is like a ride in an amusement park. And when you choose to go on it, you think it’s real because that’s how powerful our minds are. And the ride goes up and down and round and round. It has thrills and chills and it’s very brightly coloured and it’s very loud and it’s fun, for a while.

Some people have been on the ride for a long time and they begin to question, is this real, or is this just a ride? And other people have remembered, and they come back to us, they say, “Hey – don’t worry, don’t be afraid, ever, because, this is just a ride…”

And we kill those people.

“We have a lot invested in this ride. Shut him up. Look at my furrows of worry. Look at my big bank account and my family. This just has to be real.”

Just a ride… But we always kill those good guys who try and tell us that, you ever notice that? And let the demons run amok.

But it doesn’t matter, because it’s just a ride. And we can change it anytime we want. It’s only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings and money.

A choice, right now, between fear and love.”

So what’s your choice?

Remain childlike. And enjoy the ride!

“Manifestivities”

“Manifestivities”

So you’re looking to transform your life into something ‘better’ than it seems to be right now…

You’ve now reached the point where you’re seeking to work with what’s popularly called the ‘Law of Attraction’ to attract the experiences, circumstances, people, etc. that you associate with the ‘new and improved’ image of your life.

You’re seeking to learn how to actually bring about this transformation.

Well, here’s the catch:

What we call ‘transformation’ is actually a process of deprogramming. It’s not so much learning as it is unlearning.

The thing is that you’ve always been a unique aspect of the ‘infinite awareness’ that connects us all. It’s just that all kinds of programming and conditioning have disconnected most of us from that understanding.

Actually, the way out is to remove the dirt that lies between you and the daylight. Most people have encased themselves in limited beliefs, which manifest energetically in dense electromagnetic fields that basically ‘block your vision’ from the daylight.

You’re still ‘infinite awareness’ in your core, and you still ‘attract’ your experiences.

But once you make the conscious decision that you want to break out and bring about a transformation and change your life, the experiences you attract are tailored to break down those energetic walls around you that block your vision.

As soon as the walls of limitation tumble down, more of your natural ‘awareness’ can flow through you, and your ‘reality’ will start to change as your programmed perceptions are rewritten.

An important part of this process is to listen to your intuition instead of just rationalizing everything based on your conditioned beliefs. There’s this ‘intuitively knowing’ voice inside of you that knows what’s right for you in general, rather than what you might rationally think is right for you at the time.

This is something we’ve been talking about in previous articles…

True enough, the process of ‘transformation’ will bring challenges. But if you stick with your intuition through all of these experiences (nice and less pleasant), after a while your life changes BECAUSE OF what you’ve experienced going through these challenges, NOT DESPITE OF it.

This is a profound realization, and this will also be something we’ll get into in our next article.

But many people give up entirely, degrading this whole concept of ‘attraction’ as mumbo-jumbo the moment the going gets a little tough.

“This wasn’t what I wanted to attract! This doesn’t work!”

Well, actually it does. You’re attracting the very experiences designed to break through whatever is keeping you from experiencing your desired reality.

As mentioned, we’ll get into more details of this in the next article.

But for now, it’s first important to realize once again that understanding the power of attention is the first thing you need and absolutely vital to regaining control of your life experience.

“Energy flows where attention goes.”

There’s this parable of a Cherokee Native American who was teaching his grandchildren about life:

“A fight is going on inside of me It is a terrible fight, and it is between two wolves. One wolf represents fear, anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, pride and superiority. The other wolf stands for joy, peace, love, hope, sharing, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, friendship, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.

This same fight is going on inside of you and every other person too.”

The grandkids thought about it for a while and then one of them asked:

“Which wolf will win?”

The old Cherokee answered:

“The one I feed.”

That is, the one you give attention to.

When you react to a situation (pleasant or unpleasant) or make a some kind of choice in your life, it’s worth asking yourself what level of awareness your choice or decision comes from.

- Does what you do or decide represent fear, anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, pride, superiority?

- Or is it a manifestation of joy, peace, love, hope, sharing, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, friendship, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, faith?

How you react to the situations you’re presented with defines who you are, and determines what you’ll attract next. As long as your conscious decision is to change your life for the better, you will ‘attract’ experiences to break out of the box that’s keeping you from experiencing this reality right now.

The first step in making this happen is to accept your reactions and decisions that come from the ‘heart’, from your ‘infinite awareness’, from knowing what’s right for you.

You need to be kind to yourself when you react to what you’re presented with, and not get caught in self-loathing and frustration.

In the words of Charles Swindoll:

“We are all faced with a series of great opportunities brilliantly disguised as impossible situations.”

So be gentle with yourself. Don’t fall into self-loathing and frustration the moment you’re faced with a challenge that doesn’t seem to match the image you had of your ‘new and improved’ life.

It’s just a stepping stone that gets you one step closer.

And since ‘energy flows where attention goes’ (meaning what you’ll manifest will depend on what you give your attention to), don’t forget to build in some fun and joy in your life.

Make way for joy, peace, love, etc… for things you like. And experience the joy intensely!

Have a ‘manifestivity’! Believe me, it works…

See you next time!

I Can’t Believe My Eyes!

I Can’t Believe My Eyes!

“I can’t believe my eyes”, people say…

Well, they shouldn’t either. Because you’re eyes don’t actually see.

They’re merely lenses that pass on information to the visual cortex in the brain. And only there do you see.

So you actually see with your brain, not with your eyes. “I saw it with my own brain!” would be a better way to put it.

After all, we decode the visible frequencies of light that our eyes pick up into ‘physical reality’. Your eyes don’t send images to your brain of 3D street scenes or whatever we think we see outside of us.

They perceive frequencies and then send them to the brain in the form of electrical signals. And your brain decodes those signals into an apparent 3D reality that we think is outside of us.

What we see is ‘light’, as it’s reflected by what’s called ‘luminous matter’. ‘Luminous matter’ reflects electromagnetic light, which your eyes can perceive.
But 95 percent (at least) of the mass in the universe is known as ‘dark matter’ or ‘dark energy’. This ‘stuff’ doesn’t reflect light, and therefore can’t be seen by us humans. However, it can be measured by its effect on the part of the universe that we can ‘see’. That’s how we know it’s there.

But anyway, the only light we can see is the light reflected within the visible range of the electromagnetic spectrum. And we only see those particular frequencies within that electromagnetic spectrum. And actually, it’s only a fraction of the spectrum that can be accessed by our human vision.

But there’s even more…

The electromagnetic spectrum is only 0.005% of the estimated mass of the universe. And human sight can see only a tiny fraction of these electromagnetic frequencies. So imagine how little of the universe we can actually perceive and decode into ‘physical’ reality!

We’re virtually blind!

The truth is that we only see what the brain tells us to see. And let’s take a quick look at what happens before we actually ‘see’:

  • First, light enters the eye by passing through the outer, transparent layer called the ‘cornea’.
  • Then it goes on through the pupil, which gets bigger or smaller to allow for more or less light to be let in (depending on the circumstances). This latter process is controlled by the iris (the colored part of the eye).
  • Then it goes to the lens to be focused.
  • After that, it enters the ‘vitreous humor’, a jelly-like substance behind the lens.
  • And then the light (or information) strikes the retina, which ‘captures’ the image like the film in those good old photo cameras. However, this image recorded on the retina is two-dimensional and upside-down!

  • The next stop is the optic nerve, which in turn sends the image through the brain to the ‘occipital lobe’. This is where the brain re-assembles the two-dimensional and upside-down image that was delivered by the eyes into the form that we think we are seeing.

So this is really quite a path to travel for what we think is an ‘objective image’ before we actually ‘see’ it. And what’s even more striking are all the things that happen before we actually ‘see’ the image that we think we see.

After all, what we think is a 3D image that situated outside of us is only constructed when frequencies are recorded as a two-dimensional and upside-down image on the retina. It’s only later (when the info reaches the ‘occipital lobe’) that it’s constructed into a 3D image. And this construction happens in your brain.

So does the world outside of us really exist in the way we think we see it? But wait… Here’s another thought-provoking realization:

On the way from the eyes to the visual cortex, the temporal lobes edit and reconstruct up to 50% and more of the ‘light’ or ‘information’ that was perceived by the eyes. In his book The Holographic Universe, the late Michael Talbot [1] writes about the work of neurophysiologist Karl Pribram and others [p. 163]:

“Pribram discovered that the visual information a monkey receives via its optic nerves does not travel directly to its visual cortex, but is first filtered through other areas of its brain.

“Numerous studies have shown that the same is true of human vision. Visual information entering our brains is edited and modified by our temporal lobes before it is passed on to our visual cortices.

“Some studies suggest that less than 50 percent of what we ‘see’ is actually based on information entering our eyes. The remaining 50 percent plus is pieced together out of our expectation of what the world should look like (and perhaps out of other sources such as reality fields). The eyes may be the visual organs, but it is the brain that sees.”

Wow! And then consider this…

What we don’t ‘see’, we make up. Seriously, we make it up! Here’s how…

Our eyes have a blind spot where the optic nerve connects to the eye in the middle of the retina. We can’t see anything with that part of the eye. However, the brain weaves the picture together from the information available and ‘fills the hole’.

So actually, what we believe we are seeing is what we see. Upon constructing the 3D image that we think we eventually ‘see’, the brain filters and tweaks the information received by filling in holes and matching it to its expectations of what there is to be seen, based on its engrained beliefs. And that latter part makes up for more than 50% of the images we actually ‘see’!

That’s quite something! We also describe this mechanism in our free book on the Premises Of Your Own Power (and if you haven’t read it yet, you can get it for free by as part of a special arrangement Anneli and Richie arranged for you. Here are some excerpts of what we wrote:

“Most people will be familiar with overlooking misspelled words. This is because your eyes, or rather your brain, is so accustomed to reading the words in correct spelling, that it simply overlooks a typo. The typo is filtered out of the image by your brain, which causes you to overlook it and see the correct spelling, which is in line with your expectations. This does not happen all the time, but it does happens sometimes, which illustrates the point to make here. Neurophysiologists like Karl Pribram have long been aware of this fact.

(…)

In relation to the example of the misspelled words, your engrained belief system (the correct spelling of the words you see most of the time) caused your brain to filter out the information (the typo) that was at odds with its conditioned worldview (its expectations).”

Here’s another excerpt:

“Likewise, studies have shown that men and women often have trouble communicating accurately with each other, because what one says the other does not hear. Each hears merely whatever supports their belief and prejudice about each other. They pick up only what they want to hear, or what supports their conditioned view of the way things are. This is a psychological phenomenon called ‘selective retention’.”

And here’s a final one:

“The catch is that seeing is not just believing. Apparently, ‘believing is also seeing’.

Because the information picked up by your eyes is edited by your brain according to its engrained belief systems, a large proportion of what you actually ‘see’ is determined by what you believe deep inside to be true. You see what you believe.

And of course, because you see what you believe, you immediately believe what you see, because it supports your belief systems that determined what you saw in the first place. Thus, what you see reinforces your belief system, which causes you to keep seeing things in the way you believe things to be, which in turn again makes you see things in that way. It’s a self-reinforcing cycle!”

You can read more details on that in the book on the Premises Of Your Own Power…

But for now, we’re slowly moving into the point that we want to make…

After all, it’s clear that the beliefs programmed into your brain have a significant effect on the way you perceive ‘reality’… or in fact, on the way you even construct reality and thus what you seem to be ‘attracting’!

The thing is… Your brain is not the center of control that determines what happens and what doesn’t happen.

And that’s good news!

Because it’s still true that you can be the one taking control. You don’t have to be a slave to your body and brain. That is, if you recognize that you are not your body. You need to recognize that you are indeed the essence controlling it and occupying it to allow yourself to experience this ‘3D solid world’.

After all… Consider all this:

There has been this publication of an article in the scientific journal ‘Science’ with the provocative title ‘Is Your Brain Really Necessary’ [2].

This article was a reaction to the description of this British neurologist John Lorber of a young man of ‘normal development’, with an IQ of 126, and an academic degree in mathematics.

The funny thing was that a brain scan of this apparently highly intelligent young man showed that he was a pretty hardcore case of what’s known as ‘hydrocephalus’, or ‘water on the brain’.

Put differently, the head of this ‘IQ 126’, ‘academic degree in mathematics’ young man was filled with cerebrospinal fluid for 95%. What this means in layman’s terms is that his skull was like a swimming pool for his brain, which basically drowned in all that fluid.

His cerebral cortex had a gauge of about 1 millimeter, so there was hardly any brain tissue left. The weight of his brain was estimated to about 100 grams, where 1500 grams is normal for an average homo sapiens sapiens. But the workings of his brain were hardly impaired at all!

The following picture comes to mind:
Human Brain

Maybe we underestimated him…

Anyway, it seems like the brain is not the source of consciousness. And so the good news is that you can exert control over your brain (and thus your perceptions and the way you construct your reality (or what you seem to ‘attract’)) through your own being conscious.

Put differently:

YOU NEED TO WAKE-THE-HELL UP!

Basically, your body (including your brain) is a vehicle for experience, and you’re in the driver’s seat.

You can take control and manipulate your perceptions, and it has been shown that you (being a conscious essence) can even change your brain (being a part of the ‘space suit’ (your body) you’re wearing in order to be able to experience this ‘physical ‘reality’).

And if you listen closely, you’ll see this is true, and you’ll learn how you can benefit from this…

Science has shown during our lives there’s this ongoing process of adaptation in your brain. This happens because your mental, intellectual, spiritual and physical activities influence both the number as well as the locations of the mutual connections between neurons (brain cells). This process of ongoing adaptation is called ‘neuroplasticity’ or ‘cortical remapping’.

So basically, because of conscious attention, emotions and active thought processes, as well as due to physical activity and movement, the neural networks in your brain change continually. And as such, the electromagnetical activity in your brain changes all the time as well.

In a recent article in the scientific journal called ‘Progress In Neurobiology’ called ‘Mind Does Really Matter’ [3], neuroscientist Mario Beauregard comes to the conclusion that trust and positive expectations are capable of influencing (changing) the parts in the brain that play a significant role in perceiving, movement, pain and a whole bunch of emotional processes.

So your mental processes (thoughts, feelings, beliefs, but most of all your conscious free will) can significantly influence the functioning of your brain on various levels.

Your conscious and deliberate manipulation of your thoughts and expectations not only greatly improves your feelings of well-being. It also causes a demonstrable biological change in your brain. (Beauregard outlines a whole list of studies that demonstrate the effect of consciousness on brain functioning in his book The Spiritual Brain [4]).

So what to make of all this scientific mumbo-jumbo?

Well, here we go…

By waking-the-hell up from the vicious cycle that you may find yourself in, you can make astonishing changes in your perceived reality.

After all, we’ve seen that you see what you believe. Your brain edits the information it receives based on its engrained belief systems to determine what you see. And then what you see is merely a confirmation of what you already believe. It’s a self-reinforcing cycle, and it’s vicious as long as it’s based on beliefs of negativity, being powerless, being poor, feeling guilty, and so on…

But by waking-the-hell up, you can consciously change your perceptions. You can consciously cause significant, demonstrable biological changes in your brain.

Your brain will change, and your perceptions will change. And as your perceptions will change, your beliefs will change. And as your beliefs change into knowing that you have full power over your own reality, your perceptions will change accordingly.

It’s still a self-reinforcing cycle, but not a vicious one anymore. Both your conscious and your subconscious mind will change into a state in which you genuinely believe down to the core of your being that you’re the one in control.

And you can simply pick your beliefs. Your brain, mind and perceptions of your ‘outside reality’ will follow automatically.

Even if you have ‘water on the head’, as you have seen…

So who cares if your brain scan looks like Homer Simpson’s?

It doesn’t matter, because you are not your body. You are a unique representation of all that exists, and you’re awesome. You can choose to make the change. It’s your call.

And here’s how you can:

The Power of Positive Thinking

The Power of Positive Thinking

Although you can see that the glass is half-empty, you chose to see it in a positive way. It is still half-full, anyway. The absence of half of the volume of water didn’t even bother you. What mattered was that it still contains water. If this is how you answered the question above and how you justified your answer, then you have a positive way of thinking.

Positive thinking is a way of looking at the brighter side of life. Everything is good, beautiful, and light. There are no worries, problems, or fears. In short, all you see and believe in is, well, positive. I guess that’s already the most suitable word in describing this way of thinking, which is why it is the term being used.

This kind of thinking is very powerful in that if you think that you are going to pass an exam, you are going to pass; if you think that you’ll get noticed by your crush, you’ll get noticed; if you think you will get promoted at work, then you’ll get promoted. This is how powerful the mind is, particularly positive mind. Even the famous Clint Eastwood believes in this general truth that he quoted, If you think it’s going to rain, it will.

So, how does the power of positive thinking works? How can it create reality? Do we only have to think of positive things and then will it happen right away? That positive thinking really is powerful may be somehow hard to believe at first, that’s why we may ask certain questions like those above. Because the mind is working on the information you send it, positive thinking leads to positive reality. This is how it works. Yes, we do have to really think of positive things. But it doesn’t stop there.

Remember the ever-famous cliché “Do your best and God will do the rest?” You know, it’s true. Aside from believing in and having faith in something we want to happen, we have to do something about it. You can’t ace an exam just by sitting on the couch and watching TV days before taking it, can you?

Let us take into account again the computer as a metaphor of the human mind. The mind is like a computer, this time due to the fact that we can program it with certain functions and tasks. Sometimes, it even acts as our autopilot. For instance, we use it when we drive and talk on a mobile phone at the same time. Therefore, we can program it with whatever we want to happen.

Say, for example, you want to be attractive. Thus, you say to yourself “I can be beautiful, healthy and slim.” But for this positive thinking to work, you can’t just leave it at that. You still need to do something. You need the right self-programming: “I can be beautiful, healthy, and slim if: (a) I’ll take enough rest every night; (b) I’ll eat proper balance diet; (c) I’ll do exercises; (d) I’ll brush my teeth every after meal; etc.” And if all these thoughts sink into your system, you’ll see that they wouldn’t be far from happening.

Mind power implies will power. With positive thinking, one does not stop with I can or I am. There will always be an I will after it in which it will cause the realization of his aspirations.

Positive thinking is a powerful tool that helps us build the life we want. It can make us beautiful and smart. It can get us the dream job with the excellent salary we always dreamed of. It can help us find our one true love. But we have to use them properly and we have to continue working with them regularly – to the point where it becomes such a habit that we ought to say them all the time. Isn’t it better maintaining such thoughts than keeping worthless ideas inside our head the stuff we keep thinking about but doesn’t really help us accomplish anything and, in many cases, may actually push us backwards?

We should also understand that some affirmations take some time to take effect. It really depends on where we are and what we want to accomplish. For example, if you’re unemployed yet want to be a millionaire, well, in reality, it will take quite some time. You have to get a job first, and from there, start making the big money and earn the millions you want. Successes usually not happen overnight. So the first step is to focus on how we can accomplish our goal. If we are on the right place, plus we possess the right attitude, then it won’t be too far.

Some Straight Talk About Your Success And Happiness

Some Straight Talk About Your Success And Happiness

I want to warn you: this article can cause some discomfort, indignation and sense of insult in minds of people who are not ready to be successful. If you are not ready to face the truth, please don’t read this article, because I don’t want to hurt your feelings for nothing.

If you’ve decided to keep reading answer a couple of questions first.

How old are you? What have you done in all these years that you can be proud of? What have you done to become successful and happy person? And now let me ask you just one last question – WHY aren’t you successful and happy yet?

In my long practice with people I’ve heard so many different answers that if I decide to write them all down I could publish a 500 page book. I’d call it “The guide for people who want to be miserable and stay that way forever”.

Think about it… Who is responsible for you not being happy and successful?

Not your neighbors, not your wife, not the circumstances, not the economy or the weather. YOU ARE.

It is YOUR life, YOUR choices and YOUR responsibility. I know it is very hard to accept, because we are so used to blame everyone and everything for our unhappiness and our failures. We don’t want to take responsibility for our actions. Furthermore, we’re afraid of the responsibility because if something goes wrong we will have no one to blame for it, but ourselves. This includes the level of your achievements, the quality of your relationships with other people, the state of your physical health, your debts or your lack of self discipline.

When you refuse to accept responsibility for the situation, you lose control over it. You will feel depressed and frustrated because you can’t change the circumstances, you can’t change the economy and you can’t change other people, you can only change yourself.

That change will give you great benefits. Instead of a life victim, you will become a successful, self-confident person. You will make life what you want it to be. Responsibility for the actions and self-esteem is the only small but crucial difference between a dismal failure and an impressive success. It doesn’t take long to go from failure to success. All it takes is an attitude adjustment.

You can start making small changes in your life right this moment. Don’t wait any longer, because until you don’t do something about your life, nothing is ever going to change.

For example, if you had a fight with someone, say “I’m sorry I overreacted. I shouldn’t have yelled at you”. Don’t say “You said this or did that. You made me lose my temper!” If you are late for work, say “I’m sorry, I overslept. I’ll make sure it won’t happen again”. Don’t say “My alarm clock didn’t ring” or “Traffic was really bad”.

If you screw up, admit it. Take the responsibility for your actions instead of saying “Mistakes were made”.

Learn from your mistakes. Analyze what kind of changes you can make right now to achieve your goals in future. Important thing is to constantly move forward. Don’t wait for the opportunity to appear at your door step or the planets align the right way. Create your own opportunities!

Tips To Get Motivated and Overcome Procrastination

Tips To Get Motivated and Overcome Procrastination

Procrastination is a complicated behavior that affects all people to some degree. Some experience only small problems with procrastination while with others, it is a major source of anxiety and stress. Lack of motivation and procrastination is related to time management. Procrastinators often fail to complete tasks even though thsey know what the task is and the time they have to do it.

Why do people procrastinate? Often a difficult task is avoided in favor of the less difficult. Tasks that take longer amounts of time are less desirable than those that can be completed quickly. People sometimes procrastinate due to fear of failure. No one wants to be embarrassed by a lack of knowledge or skills when beginning a new task. Overcoming the fear of failure and developing good work habits will do wonders for those who tend to procrastinate.

The first step in overcoming procrastination is to recognize what psychological issues cause you to procrastinate in the first place. Self-defeating issues such as anxiety, fear, poor time management skills, indecisiveness, difficulty concentrating, and perfectionism can be major contributors to a lack of motivation. It’s important to clarify your goals and then work to achieve them.

If you do not know how to manage your time efficiently, there are classes and literature available to help you learn. In order to change, you first have to accept and forgive yourself for your shortcomings. Do not expect to change overnight, expect to backslide on occasion and forgive yourself when this happens. Give yourself adequate credit for tasks you do accomplish in a timely manner.

If you have a friend or coworker who seems to be highly organized and efficient, ask for suggestions as to how you can do the same. Reward yourself for small steps taken towards your goals and be realistic in your expectations. As with any type of behavioral change, overcoming procrastination will not happen instantly. Change your work or study habits to minimize distractions and promote wise management of your time.

Be disciplined in your approach by setting a realistic goal and sticking to it. Setting priorities is critical in learning to manage your time in the most efficient manner. Do not dwell on setbacks or mistakes. Focus instead on success and soon enough you will stop dwelling on failure and instead come to expect the best from yourself.

Motivation is the key to achieving success at work and at home. Motivation comes from within. Coming to grips with personal issues is the first step in realizing why you procrastinate and then taking steps to change. If you focus on self-discipline and proper time management, you will be able to change those habits that led you to be a procrastinator in the first place.

You can get motivated and stay motivated by implementing a few changes and observing a few personal rules. Observing and copying those who seem to always be a step ahead is also an excellent tool in overcoming procrastination.

Realizing that procrastination is a self-imposed condition is an important step in changing those bad habits into a lifelong formula for success. Make your plan, follow it carefully, and forgive yourself for imperfections. You will soon transform yourself from a chronic procrastinator into a highly motivated, disciplined individual.

Why Traditional Goal Setting Doesn’t Work

Why Traditional Goal Setting Doesn’t Work

If you have a $100.000.000 in the bank, drive new Lexus, look like a movie star and have a perfect health save yourself some time and do not read this article. This article is for people, who don’t have all these things, but are planning on changing that slight inconvenience.

So how do you change it?

Every January millions and millions of people decide to start better and healthier life. We plan to change so many things and set so many goals. “I will exercise at least three times a week”, “I will spend more time with my family”, “I will find a better job”, “I will stop smoking” the list goes on and on.

Now if you know anything about goal setting, you’ll know that the

first thing you have to do is to write down your goals on a piece of paper. Then you have to decide step-by-step how you are going to achieve those goals and form a plan of action as detailed as possible. All you have to do just follow the plan.

That’s a great theory, which hardly happens in reality. In reality your enthusiasm and concentration lasts a couple of weeks and than everyday routine gets to you. You skip an exercise here, get frustrated and smoke a cigarette there, or start jumping from one goal to another and at the end of the year nothing ever gets done or achieved.

Why this theory alone doesn’t work.

1. We often have so many goals it is hard to know where to start and how to proceed

2. We continually jump at different goals and as a result nothing gets done

3. It is hard to remember all the goals

4. Enthusiasm and excitement wears off

5. We don’t have enough time

6. We don’t have enough will power to follow through

Due to all these reasons you need a very strong motivator. Something that will pull, push or drag you forward. There is only one thing powerful enough to do that and it’s a VISION.

You’ll still have to write all of your goals down. Then take that piece of paper and envision yourself after achieving all these goals. In order to succeed you have to become a person capable of succeeding, you have to start thinking like that person, act like that person.

Make yourself truly believe that you are looking into your future through the crystal ball. Remember every little detail – expression on your friends faces, proud look in you parents eyes. Feel the warm breeze on your face, smell the salty air of the ocean, imagine your new house on the beach.

You need to create a vision so powerful, so desirable, so compelling that it draws all your energy and motivation to it. It has to become an obsession. You have to feel something that a person finding an oasis in the middle of the desert would feel. Absolute excitement and complete determination. Then any goal becomes possible.

“4 Simple Ways To Relax The Body & Mind”

“4 Simple Ways To Relax The Body & Mind”
By Matt Clarkson
Author of “Secrets of Meditation, Energy and Manifestation”
Secrets of Meditation.com
——————————————————————————————————————————————-

Life is tough. It doesn’t matter who you are or what you do, we all have to face many difficult and stressful situations. Being at the effect of life can leave us feeling stressed, worried, angry, confused and frustrated.

And the way we feel affects everything in our lives. When we feel bad, everything seems much worse than it is. A bad mood is like a filter that prevents us from seeing the positive things in life. Every little thing seems like another irritation.

If that’s something you can relate to — take heart — we all know what it’s like to feel stressed and frustrated. The important thing is to have the tools to recover quickly and naturally, find yourself again, and get back on track.

Here are four tips to help you relax the body and mind:

1. Take A Break

When things are starting to get out of hand and you can feel yourself reaching threshold, STOP. Finish what you’re doing. Take a break before you start anything new.

If someone is driving you mad, make an excuse and leave the room! Go and take a walk. Get some fresh air, find some calm within and then prepare yourself to get stuck in again!

2. Listen To Relaxing Music

Music can have a powerful effect on your state. I’m sure there have been times when you heard a piece of music and suddenly you felt great. We all know songs that make you tap your foot or remind you of being in love.

Create a collection of music to help you relax and feel good. Make a tape of those songs that make you smile to help you unwind. Play it as often as you can…when you’re at home, when you’re working, when you’re in your car. You’ll be surprised how good you’ll begin to feel.

3. Avoid Stimulants

Tea, coffee, fizzy drinks and chocolate all contain caffeine. Over the course of the day, this can add to your stress level considerably.

Why not prepare yourself a healthy alternative? Bottled water, freshly squeezed fruit juice and herbal teas are excellent for maintaining your body’s natural water balance and helping you keep cool under pressure.

4. Use A Soothing Voice

Use a relaxed and soothing tone of voice, not just out loud, but also when you talk to yourself. A soft, low, melodious tone opens up the relaxation circuits in your mind and helps you stay calm even in heated situations.

A friend of mine once told me “Life is a struggle. But once you accept that, it becomes a lot easier.”

We can learn to deal with life’s challenges by setting aside some time to go to work on ourselves, developing a state of acceptance. When we can learn to calm our minds and separate ourselves from our problems, we are on the road to significant improvement.

“5 Little Known Secrets of Meditation, Energy and Manifestation”

“5 Little Known Secrets of Meditation, Energy and Manifestation”
By Matt Clarkson
Author of “Secrets of Meditation, Energy and Manifestation”
Secrets of Meditation.com
——————————————————————————————————————————————-

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Secret #1:
The True Purpose of Meditation

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Many people feel a sense of fascination when confronted with the possibility of mystic visions, psychic intuition and heightened mental functioning. While meditators often report these sorts of improvements, these experiences should not be the primary reason for practice. The purpose of meditation is to bring us back to ourselves.

As we become healthier, happier and realize greater self-awareness, the other benefits of meditation begin to follow naturally — improved mental functioning, greater intuition as well as greater access to unconscious resources and abilities.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Secret #2:
Distraction Does Not Equal Failure

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Meditation is not work in the sense that you have to “force” yourself to concentrate completely for long periods of time. If we consciously try to prevent thinking, it’s going to have a negative impact on the meditation.

Instead, whenever we become lost in thought or confusion, we simply acknowledge those thoughts and then gently return the attention to the object of the meditation. We do this as many times as distraction or thought occurs. Eventually, the mind becomes calmer and discursive thought begins to slow.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Secret #3:
Insight Alone Is Not Enough

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Insight alone will not transform our lives. Meditation is likely to help us by giving us larger perspectives and increasing clarity of thought. But although our sense of inner guidance might become stronger, unless we ACT on that guidance, we will never manifest the changes we truly want in our lives.

This doesn’t just mean we need to take action in our outer world, for example, having an honest conversation with a friend or paying a bill.

It also means we must actively request the assistance of the unconscious in a clear and persistent way. When you do that, as I teach in “Secrets of Meditation, Energy and Manifestation,” you find yourself magnetically drawn toward your dreams with an irresistible impulse.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Secret #4:
Learn To Let Go

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Once you have made your request, it’s important that you let go. Don’t be concerned with HOW you’re going to get what you truly want in your life. Needing to know how can hamper the process of making it manifest in the outer world. Learn to trust your unconscious.

Some changes — perhaps all of them — will happen automatically. I have personally found that many of my destructive habits simply dropped away with minimal conscious effort.

For me, this was achieved not by self-discipline and will power, but rather a “letting go” and a realization that spiritual growth is a natural process powered by parts of ourselves that know more than we can understand consciously.

As we let go consciously and receive more input from these parts, we learn to trust this feeling, this feeling that we are in safe hands and that something amazing is about to happen.
