Your Number One Wealth-Building Strategy

By Jimmy D. Brown of iBusiness Owner

His name is Chris.

He’s my personal trainer at the local gym where I work out 5 days a week like clockwork.

Now, before I tell you about Chris – and, more importantly, how this all relates to building YOUR business – let me explain why I hired Chris to train me.

I’ve got a shelf full of books, videos, and guides. I belong to a fitness membership site. I’ve got enough gadgets (seriously, how many exercise balls does one person need?) to start a Gold’s Gym.

There’s no information or equipment related to getting into peak physical shape that I don’t have access to. Heck, I’ve even written a course on weight loss chronicling how I lost 50 pounds on my own.

But, what I want is to learn how to improve my strength and endurance for my tennis game. And while I could sift through the information I’ve collected and ultimately figure it out on my own, I’m way too smart for that.

I’d rather pay Chris — a qualified expert — to show me how to do it so I don’t waste time or money doing it myself.

  • I want to know shortcuts.
  • I want someone to watch my form to make sure I’m doing it right.
  • I want to stay motivated.
  • I want a routine created that I can follow after we’re done.
  • I want to eliminate things that are a waste of time.
  • I want to get the best possible results as quickly as possible.
  • I want something custom-tailored for me and my likes/dislikes, my skills or lack thereof, my experience and my goal to improve my tennis conditioning.

So, I hired Chris. And, despite the fact that I could hardly walk the day after our first workout, I’m already seeing results even after the first few weeks. By the time our training program is over, Roger Federer better look out, cuz I’m coming for him.

Let me explain perhaps the most important business concept you’ll ever learn in your life. It’s very simple …

You need a Chris.

You need someone who will personally teach you how to build your business. Someone you can ask questions to and get a personal response. Someone who’ll walk you through the steps at your level, at your pace, for your specific situation.

You need a Chris.

You need a trainer. A coach. A mentor. Whatever label you want to attach to it, you need someone to be your tour guide and show you the way.

You need a Chris.

Your number #1 wealth-building strategy for this year and beyond is to hire a personal trainer for your internet business.

Now, I want to explain something to you about hiring a coach: all coaches aren’t created equal. Some are good, some are bad. So, it’s important that you know what you’re looking for ahead of time to make certain that it’s an enjoyable and profitable experience for you.

Real quickly I just want to mention 6 qualifications of any kind of coaching program or mentorship program that you should look for in hiring someone to walk YOU through your internet business-building steps.

6 Qualifications For A Coaching or Mentorship Program That Gets The Results You Want

1. PERSONAL.

The first qualification is that it must be “personal” It must include “one-on-one” interaction. Listen to me carefully: throwing you onto a phone call with 500 other people listening in to a teleseminar is not “coaching” … it’s “lecturing” You need access… personal access. You need to be able to ask questions and receive answers.

2. POSITIONAL.

The second qualification is that it must be “positional”. That is, it should be custom tailored for YOU and your unique situation. What you do not need is a generic one size fits all program where everyone is following the same cookie cutter plan. Seriously, how effective is it if 400 people are using the exact same webpage template with the exact same offer with the exact same emails?

You need a program that is positioned on YOU, centered on YOU, organized in such a way that YOU can apply it to your specific business so that you’re unique from the others taking the same class.

3. PERCEPTUAL.

Thirdly, it must be “perceptual” Whoever you hire as a coaching should have the ability to answer your questions. If they aren’t qualified to respond to your inquiries, they aren’t qualified to coach! Just because someone can put together an ebook (who knows, maybe they hired a ghostwriter) or throw together a teleseminar script to blast a call out to hundreds of people doesn’t mean they can handle assisting you.

4. PRACTICAL.

Fourthly, a good mentorship program is “practical” You need to have assignments to complete; tasks to accomplish; activities to get working on. Any coaching program that doesn’t involve “homework assignments” that the instructor personally grades and offers insight into is not a first-rate program in my opinion. You need to know what to do and you need to know that you are doing it correctly; that you’ve made wise choices; that you are headed in the right direction. If it’s not practical, how can it be profitable?

5. PICTORIAL.

The next qualification is “pictorial” Your coaching should be able to explain things in such a way that you understand it. A good coach provides examples, offers case studies, gives illustrations … expresses the principles and practices in terms that you can easily grasp and begin to use. What good is information if it’s not comprehended?

6. PUNCTUAL.

And, finally, a good coaching program should be “punctual” As a student, you should get a free pass to the front of the line. Your coaching should respond to you quickly; make you a priority. Without a doubt, you should get your inquiries responded to within 24 hours. You should be IMPORTANT to your mentor … and he or she should value you enough to interact with you in a prompt manner.

Listen to me … that’s what makes a first-rate, top-notch coaching program. It must be…

Personal.
Positional.
Perceptual.
Practical.
Pictorial
Punctual.

Grade every coaching program you are considering based on those six characteristics and you will always make a wise choice in selecting who you’re going to follow.

Now, if you want that kind of coaching program, if you want to know the kinds of things that I wanted to know from “Chris”
