Of all the ways to make money with you business webinars might be one of the most lucrative, and fun. With the right topic, directed to the right audience, you will be earning more money than you thought possible. Even if your webinar is free. The main trick is coming up with the right topic for your audience. You may need to brainstorm about that a bit. Ask yourself these three questions:
- What problems does your target audience have and how can you solve them?
- What goals does your target audience have and how can you help them achieve them?
- In what way does your service/product help your audience achieve their goals or solve their problems?
Now, you can develop a webinar that addresses these issues, and tells the audience who comes to the webinar exactly how you and your products/ services can help them. Consider having the webinar for about an hour, 45 minutes of presentation, with about 15 minutes of questions. In addition, limit the number of attendees to create a shortage which will compel those who are interested to act now or miss out. Sometimes you can limit attendance by charging for the event, other times you can just limit the number of attendees to a number you feel comfortable with. It’s up to you.
When you give your presentation give handouts to people who signed up via their email the day before the event. Then the day of the event send them an agenda so that they know what to except in the event. Not only will these emails be appreciated, they will be good reminders. Also, ensure that you remind everyone multiple times about the event, each time giving them something new to use during or after the event that gets people excited. Send them announcements for specials for paying early if there is a fee, or a bonus for getting a certain number of others to sign up too. Creating a lot of buzz about the event will keep it in their mind, so that they do not miss it.
Practice with the technology before your event to ensure a professional presentation. Things do happen but the most common problem is not knowing how to work the technology. If you don’t know what you’re doing and can’t learn in time for the webinar, hire someone to do the technical parts for you. Nothing is worse than trying to do a webinar when you have no idea what is going on. Sure, you probably know your topic, but the technology can get in the way if you haven’t done your homework. You only have the one time for the webinar to go off without a hitch, so get to know the software or hire a consultant.
When you give one webinar, you’re probably going to want to do more, so keep that in mind when you’re doing this webinar. How can you capitalize on this webinar, to have another webinar, perhaps paid instead of free if the first one was free, or more expensive if the first one was cheap. Then, that webinar will be more in-depth than the first one, offering even more to the participants. This will generate a recurring revenue stream that is simple to do, fun, and exciting too. Repeat business is why you want to ensure that the first webinar goes off without a hitch.
Webinars will make you more money because your participants will feel closer to you. They will feel like they are getting an inside view into your life, and in this will make a huge difference in sales of spots in future webinars, as well as other products that you create. Participants will often be the first in line for every product that you create. Make it easy for participants to purchase from you by offering discounts to participants and even giving away prizes during the webinar. They’ll appreciate it, even if they don’t win.
Finally, don’t forget to create a follow up survey for all the participants so that you can find out from them how they liked the webinar and what other types of webinars would they like to attend. In addition, offer a recording to the webinar for everyone who signed up so that people who missed it can still participate and still make you more money.
