The newcomers may ask themselves “how do I locate public domain books?” Well this question has also been a major issue for individuals who’d got their first taste of years in the internet business. Finding public domain books is easy as long as know what steps to take and what purpose is tailored for your goal. The real deal is for these people to be able to sell several copies in a month.

So you may again ask yourself “how do I locate public domain books and not be bothered by their copyright protections?” The answer is simple. The laws governing copyright are diversified depending on the state or country. The copyright law of the United States can really be complicated. In this case, you need to be extra careful. If you prefer to play safe, get a lawyer who could locate public domain books for you. Another cheaper yet worthy solution is for you to create a direct transaction with that of the Copyright Office of Washington DC.

As soon as realization on the importance of how to find public domain books dawns on you, you can decide on whether to recreate it, sell the product as is, or adopt any way of profiting from it.

A lot of people want you to believe that finding freelance transcription is shrouded in mystery. The truth is it’s really not. The first thing to take into consideration is do you need training or not. A lot of companies that offer the option to freelance transcription work don’t want to take the time to train new folks, so they prefer you already have a basic idea of what you’re doing and maybe a little experience as well.

The next thing to take into consideration is the amount of time you want to work per week. A lot of companies require that you take a minimum number of audio hours per week to transcribe and this may be more than you’d like to handle each week.

If you’d like to work one job at a time or maybe just handle overflow work, your best bet is to try bidding on freelance job sites. There are actually many companies looking to outsource work at home transcription jobs via these platforms, sites like Elance, oDesk, Freelancer, etc…. You can bid on the jobs and have total control over the amount of work you take on each week and the turn around times. It’s great if you need major flexibility.

Another thing you want to look for when you’re applying for freelance transcription positions with larger scale companies is what do they offer their clients. Do they offer various types of transcription and will you be able to choose which department you’re in or will you have to bounce back and forth from legal to general? Do they require additional training or a particular software program?

In most cases you can use any software you prefer, but there are a few companies that require you to log in remotely and use only their software programs. Check the requirements before you apply so that you’re not surprised later on.

Finding work at home transcription jobs doesn’t have to be a difficult process and it can lead to some great career options in the future. Take your time, do your research, and be prepared before you put in applications.

Now, on to the blueprint…

Step 1: Choose a Market

But don’t just choose any market – instead, choose a HUNGRY market. That means you’re looking for a market that is actively seeking paid solutions to their problems.

Here’s how:

• Search marketplaces like Amazon.com and Clickbank.com to see what types of niches attract eager, proven buyers.
• Use a keyword tool like WordTracker.com or the free Google Keyword Tool to find out what people are searching for. You can enter your proposed niche keywords (like “dog training”) to see if there is a demand, or enter a broad keyword (like “secrets” or “how to”) to uncover new niches.
• Go to EzineArticles.com and browse the top articles to see which niches are popular.

Step 2: Get Your Tools In Place

Once you find a niche that spends money, your next step is to gather your tools. These include:

• A domain name, which you can get at NameCheap.com.
• Hosting, which you can secure at HostGator.com.
• An autoresponder, which you can purchase through Aweber.com.

Step 3: Select an Offer to Promote

Next, you need to find an affiliate offer that you can promote to your hungry niche. The best way to do that is to find out what they’re already buying… and choose a similar offer.

Simply go to Clickbank.com and browse the relevant niche category. Those products appearing at the top of the catalog are your best sellers – you should choose a product near the top of the list.

Just be sure to buy, read and use the product to ensure that it is, indeed, a good product.

Step 4: Write and Upload a Mini eCourse

Your next step is to create an autoresponder series around the topic of your product so that you can promote your offer. Your autoresponder series should be at least 7-12 messages long.

For example:

• You’re selling a copywriting product. You can create a seven-part ecourse on how to write a sales letter. Then promote the copywriting product in every message.
• You’re selling a diet recipe book. You can create a 10-part weight loss course that pitches the recipe book in every message.
• You’re selling a dog training video. You can create a seven part course that teaches the basic obedience lessons such as sit, down and stay. In every message you refer your prospects to the paid video for more information.

Here’s the key: Do NOT solve your prospect’s problems 100%. You want to provide useful but incomplete information, so that your prospects need to purchase your affiliate offer in order to fully solve their problems.

Step 5: Create a Squeeze Page

Next, you need to persuade your prospects to subscribe to your ecourse. You do this by creating a mini sales page (AKA squeeze page). This page should include:

• A headline that touts your course’s major benefit (e.g., “FREE: How to housetrain your puppy in just three easy steps!”).
• A list of the other benefits of your course (e.g., “You’ll discover the secrets of turning an unruly, rambunctious puppy into a perfect houseguest!”).
• And a call to action (e.g., “Just enter your name and email address in the form below now, click join and you’ll get instant access to this eye-opening report!”).

You may also provide proof of your claims, such as testimonials, videos, screenshots, pictures and similar evidence.

Step 6: Drive Traffic to the Squeeze Page

Next, you need to drive targeted traffic to your squeeze page so that you can quickly build your list. You can do this by:

• Starting a blog and posting articles that are optimized for the search engines.
• Trading links with other high traffic sites in your niche.
• Being a guest blogger on other peoples’ blogs.
• Co-promoting with other marketers in your niche (e.g., endorsing each other in your newsletters).
• Submitting articles to EzineArticles.com and other article directories.
• Using social media sites like Squidoo.com, Yahoo! Answers, and Facebook.com.
• Participating on niche forums on in niche blog discussions.

Step 7: Add Messages to Your Autoresponder Series

Once you’re getting traffic, building your list and making a profit, you can start adding even more messages to your autoresponder – anywhere from a couple month’s worth of messages to a year or more.

That way you’ll make money virtually on autopilot – all you have to do is build your list and let your autoresponder do all the work!

Making money online doesn’t have to be complicated, not when you follow these seven easy steps!

You have some pages on your website right now that could bring in a nice and steady flow of affiliate commissions but chances are you’re not taking advantage of them. Let me show you how to turn those pages into money making machines that work 24/7 for you.

Thank You Pages

One of the pages I am referring to are the thank you page you send customers or subscribers to after they sign up for your newsletter or buy a product from you. You have already impressed these people enough to at least get them to give you their email address. Now is the perfect time to make them an offer.

Look through the various affiliate promotions you have on your site and pick the one that seems to convert the best and include it in your page.

On a thank you or download page for customers, I usually add it toward the bottom after the actual download link. On a newsletter signup thank you page, I tend to just thank them for signing up, then make the offer and give them the download link for any freebie they are getting as a “thanks for signing” up at the end.

Error Pages

The second page is your 404 error page (or any other error page for that matter). People will always mistype urls or link to pages on your website that don’t exist. In short, visitors will end up on your error pages so you might as well take advantage of it.

Again, look through your affiliate promotions and find the one with the most general appeal. Create a custom “Sorry this page couldn’t be found” message, and then transition into your offer.

With both error and thank you pages, set them and forget them. Go work on your site, write some articles or play with the kids. Both of those “hidden” pages will be working for you for added commissions.

As affiliate marketers we’re all about conversion. After all, that’s how we make our money, by converting visitors and readers into buyers. There’s one little thing you may be missing that’s an easy fix and can have a huge impact on the amount of sales you make. Do you know what it is?

If you are guessing the way your link looks, you’re absolutely right.

Cleaner Looking Links Will Result In A Better Click-Through Rate

I did some testing recently. I created two test versions of a page promoting a clickbank product. One had the new default clickbank link, which was a combination of letters, numbers and dashes that didn’t really make any sense. Go to the clickbank market place and create any hoplink to see what I’m talking about.

The other was a redirected version of the same affiliate link that was my domain name followed by the name of the product (i.e. [http://www.somedomain.dom/productname/]).

In both cases the actual anchor text was the same (the product name).

After running the test until 2000 visitors came to each page, I compared the results.

The page with the redirected link generated 3 times as many clickthroughs to the affiliate product page than the “unhidden” link.

What was even more surprising was conversion rate. The page with the cloaked link was converting into sales at 2.4% while the uncloaked version only converted at .7% – pretty big difference.

Remember that the visitor would only see the actual link if they looked at bar at the bottom of their browser while hovering with their mouse over the link. I’m sure the difference in both click-through rate and conversion would have been much more significant if I had used the direct link (like I would have in an email message for example).

I believe the reason for this difference in conversion lays in the trust factor. An ugly affiliate link with funky characters and symbols just looks fishy while a pretty affiliate link with your domain name as part of the link just looks a lot more trustworthy.

Try the Product

Before you start to promote something as an affiliate, go the extra mile and try the product. You can either ask the owner for a review copy, or just buy it and try it out. Then write an honest review of the product including the good as well as the bad. Your articles, emails and messages will be more convincing if you actually have some personal experience with the product you’re selling.

Diversify

Don’t focus on promoting just one product. Keep a constant eye on what else is available in your market and try those products out as well. If they are quality items that your readers might be interested in go ahead and promote them as well. People will often buy several similar items if they are interested in a topic or are trying to find a solution for a problem.

Get Better at SEO

Sharpen your SEO skills to get more traffic to your affiliate site. It’s the least expensive form of traffic to your site. Start with the basics of making sure you pick good keywords, and then use those in the title and content of your post. Don’t forget to work on getting more links to point to your pages as well. Spend some time each month to learn some new skills in this area and apply what you are learning.

Follow Up

Let’s face it, not every visitor that comes to your website is ready to buy. Set up an autoresponder to capture their name and email address and follow up regularly. Provide them with good, useful content and build a relationship with your list. Continue to offer affiliate products throughout and if you do your job well, they will buy and do so frequently.

Find Recurring Products

What if I told you there was a way you could make a sale once and then get paid for it month after month. That’s exactly what you can do with affiliate products that offer recurring commissions. Check out things like hosting and membership websites for these types of affiliate paychecks.

Check out the Backend

No, I’m not trying to be funny here. Marketers that know what they are doing have quite a few backend products in place. With a good affiliate offer, you not only make a commission on the first sale, but everything else the marketer upsells your visitor on down the road as well.

Testing

Don’t be afraid to test out other offers. Always be on the lookout for other products in your market that pay decent commissions. You never know when you’ll come across one that pays a better commission or converts better than what you are currently marketing to your list.

Clickbank.com has paid out nearly $2 Billion to online business owners just like you in the last 10 years – and that number is growing fast. Yet, for a lot of marketers, Clickbank has a bad rap. I’d like to spend the next 2 minutes showing you why you absolutely should sell your ebook on Clickbank.

Who does this article apply to?

* If you’re currently selling your product with a simple paypal button. Consider switching to Clickbank.

* If you have a shopping cart (like 1ShoppingCart.com) that you’re using to sell your products. Consider also setting up a separate page or URL where you sell your product on Clickbank.

Here’s why…


Diversification of your Payments.

You may not be aware of this, but PayPal.com has been known to “freeze” accounts while looking into them after they’ve been flagged by one of their employees. While Paypal.com is a trusted company, they do have to watch out for their own interests. So, if this happens to you, your account will not be accessible during that time. That means you can’t withdraw money, you can’t pay affiliates, and you can’t process refunds. You’re stuck. I don’t know about you, but I have bills to pay – which is why I recommend that you also sell products via a secondary payment method like Clickbank. They pay via direct deposit into your Checking account every 2 weeks, like clockwork. If, heaven forbid, your account gets flagged by Paypal – you’ll be able to pay your mortgage while getting it cleared.


Less Book-Keeping.

With Clickbank, you get paid weekly or when you reach a certain dollar amount that you’ve set. That means that you can pay less in accounting fees – because you’ll have a maximum of FOUR transactions per month, assuming you’re getting paid weekly. Compare that to using a paypal button or shopping cart – where every single transaction has to be entered by your bookkeeper – and you can see the advantage.


100,000 + Sales Force.

Yes, Clickbank has the eye of over 100,000 registered affiliate niche marketers in 145 countries. Many of these affiliate search the Clickbank marketplace first when looking for products to promote. If you’re not listed there, they can’t find you.


Clickbank’s HopAds Program.

You may be familiar with Google Adsense, but, did you know that Clickbank also has an advertising program? As a vendor, you can create Ads that automatically show on affiliate websites – based upon keywords. So, if your ebook is about “Saving Money on Groceries” and someone with a frugal or homemaking site puts the HopAd on their site with keywords “grocery” or “save money” – your ad may display in rotation with the other ads – as long as that ad is live on their site.


Hands Off Affiliate Management.

If you’re using your own shopping cart like 1ShoppingCart.com then you have to manage your affiliates or hire someone to do so. While this is definitely a profitable thing to do, some tasks can be a nuisance, like collecting W-9 forms (if you’re in the United States) for taxes. If you sell through Clickbank, that’s not an issue. They handle it for you.


Affiliate Payment Safety Cushion.

If you’re selling your products through your own shopping cart, then every month, you have to make sure to keep a “cushion” in your paypal account so that you have enough money to pay them. That’s not an issue with Clickbank. You ONLY receive your profits after affiliates have been paid. And, Clickbank handles paying them for you. You’re totally out of the loop.

Affiliate marketing is a great way to earn without dealing with the pains of handling the manufacture, storage and shipment of the actual product. It also requires considerably less monetary investment and thus smaller margins for loss. However, when handled correctly, affiliate marketing can provide large pay-outs and greater room for growth which cannot be found in most 9-5 jobs.

Buyers Are Ready to Buy

Individuals who go through product reviews are looking to buy a product; they want information and reassurance that they are picking the right merchandise. If one can readily present honest and positive reviews to the buyer then a sale is almost always in the bag.

These are all typical responses that most people get when asking partners and affiliates to promote their offers.


Chances are you’ve gotten answers much like these, right?


Don’t despair … there are ways around the barriers of reluctance and passiveness.


Let me share some simple ideas for getting affiliates to take action on your promotions quickly. I use the acronym “N.O.W.” to describe three ways to get others to promote you now…


N – News


In journalism, no one wants to be “scooped” when it comes to newsworthy items. Sharing some big story that another network or publication broke days ago is a big “no-no”. You always want to be first when it comes to getting the word out.


That same philosophy applies to what I’ve labeled “The Principle of First”. The idea is simple: being “first to market” aids in responses. Those who let their contacts know about your news promptly will generate the greatest results. If they wait, someone else will break the news.


So, to apply this principle, you simply need to create some newsworthy buzz that your affiliates and partners can’t pass up on sharing with their network of influence.


**CASE STUDY**


Several months ago I decided that I was going to remove the archives from one of my membership sites. This announcement served as a strong motivator to get my affiliates to promote my site promptly before someone else did. The result was almost 500 new members paying monthly fees!


If you make dramatic changes to your offer, or create some other kind of “story” or “news” that warrants discussion promptly, you’ll find you can get many fence-setters active in promoting you.


O – Occasions


Another great way to motivate affiliates to get active is to use “occasions” that have a real deadline involved.


Some examples include –


* Product launches
* Firesales
* Live events (teleseminars, workshops, etc.)
* Contests
* Special offers
* Limited quantities


This is what might be referred to as “The Principle Of Force”. That is, you MUST promote the offer now or miss out simply because the offer will no longer be valid. You “force” participation.


For example: If you have a 3-day “firesale” set for a specific date, then anyone interested in earning commissions for referring customers to the “firesale” would be “forced” to promote it during your pre-determined timeframe or they’d miss out because the event will end.


My recommendation is that you schedule some kind of “occasion” every quarter. That should give you four significant spikes in your revenue each year, which can be a tremendous boost to your bottom line.


W – Wants


What do your partners and affiliates want? Seriously, stop and think about that for a moment. In fact, go one step further than that and ASK them a simple question…“What would it take for you to promote this offer this week?”


Make it happen.


I want you to remember the intangibles here: the sales of your initial offer aren’t really all that important. (Don’t freak out, hear what I have to say It’s building a lead list, an affiliate list and a customer list along with ADDITIONAL offers over time that makes the real money.


Consider this –


Option A:


Miss Ima Guru ignores your request to promote your offer as it currently stands.


Option B:


Miss Ima Guru accepts your modified offer which includes giving her 100% of the revenue she generates. You make nothing off her promotion…but in the process of her promotion she adds 500 new subscribers to your list, 75 new affiliates and 60 new customers.


Which would you rather have?


Whatever it takes to get people to promote your offer now, make it happen.


*** NOTE ***


Now, let me make a simple suggestion here: The deal you make should be directly proportional to the potential results the partner represents.


Some affiliates and partners bring more to the table and sshould be offered more in order to get them to participate.


That being said, you can get virtually any affiliate to promote you now if you make it worth their while. So, ask them, “what will it take?”


This is what I call “The Principle Of Fear”. That is, a feeling of “This is such a compelling offer, I can’t afford to miss out on this deal.”


All of this adds up to more involvement and participation among your affiliates and partners…

Here’s little quiz for you.

So what does this mean? Simple. People search online for solutions to their problems. A BIG problem for people is their overall weight and lack of exercise. So, if you set up a blog, you can not only help those people but … and this is the best part … hold yourself accountable to lose weight, too.

Your first blog post can be as simple as this:

“My name is Sally and I have a confession to make. I need to lose about 80 lbs. How’d I gain it all? Well, it snuck up on me one potato chips at a time, but I’m determined to lose it because (insert your reason why here). I’d like to use this blog as a diary to show you how I do it. I’ll share the ups and downs along the way. Share anything that works really well. And, the fads that I try that don’t. So you can avoid them! Please come back often to see how I’m doing. I’d love to cheer you on, too. So please comment and let me know how much weight you need to lose so we can do it together.”

You can do that. It’s as simple as writing an email.

The only trick is in getting started. That’s where I come in.

If the number of backlinking services that have sprung up on the Internet in the last few years is any indication, having lots of links pointing to your site is an important component of off-site SEO. Unfortunately, most of these services are simply providing low-quality, spammy links that will soon either vanish or become so devalued by the search engines as to be made worthless. The folks that sell these kinds of services believe that quantity trumps quality, but I’m not buying that argument, and neither should you.

Rather than having 100 spammy forum profile links that are going to get deleted as soon as the forum owner gets wise to the abuse, wouldn’t it make more sense to have 10 quality incoming links from sites that are actually related to your niche? Not only will the search spiders lend more weight to good quality links, but actual people will see them and click on them. Remember people? Instead of cluttering up the Internet with more and more junk, let’s generate some links your potential customers will find useful.

Of course, backlinks have to have a home, and for most of them, that home is within good content. The reason for that is because the search bots look at what the page is about (among other things) when determining how much weight to give to your link. If you have a link to a gardening site on a page about football, it won’t be worth quite as much link juice as that same link appearing on a page about roses. So how do you make sure the page your link lives on is relevant? Simple. You provide the content.

Now I know you’re familiar with content. Chances are good you spend a great deal of time on content generation already. And frankly, the thought of spending even more time at the keyboard probably makes your hands cramp and your eyes cross. Private label rights articles give you all the benefits of good content without all the work of writing it. And PLR is perfect for backlinking.
Here’s how it works.

Pick up a pack of articles or blog posts or even an eBook from your favorite PLR seller. Take one of the articles and do a quick rewrite. Change the title, rework the first and last paragraphs, rearrange the middle section a bit, and make sure the grammar and style matches your own. Don’t spend a lot of time on this. It should take you no more than 10 minutes.

Now, head over to your Blogger blog, WordPress.com blog, HubPages account, or Squidoo lens and post your new article with relevant links back to your site. Be sure you read the terms of service of these free blog providers, though, because they can be picky about what they will and won’t allow you to link to. WordPress.com, for example, does not allow links to affiliate offers.

You can also save your content as pdf files and upload them to any number of free file sharing sites, like GetFreeeBooks.com or e-Library.net. Remember, pdf files are read and indexed by Google, so those anchor-text links count. You can also host eBooks on your own site simply by uploading them to your server and building a page of free resources containing links to your eBooks.

Next, take your articles and break them up into bite-sized pieces you can use as forum posts, Tweets, Facebook fanpage content, and even blog comments. Just make sure your content is relevant and contributes to the conversation. Simply posting random article snippets to someone’s blog will get you marked as a spammer, and reasonably so.

Finally, don’t forget about audio and video. Podcast directories, video-hosting sites like YouTube and Flickr, and slideshow hosts like SlideShare all allow links both in the content and in your profile, and some allow links alongside your video or audio. While you might not always get the benefit of an anchor-text link, you will get more exposure for you and your content.

Even if you don’t want to post private label rights articles to your own blog, there is no reason not to take advantage of this inexpensive and efficient content-creation system. Backlinking doesn’t have to be a chore, and it doesn’t have to leave you feeling like a spammer. Using private label rights articles for backlinks is cost-effective, efficient, and helps establish you as an authority on your subject.

Today, I’m sitting at my computer, about to launch a new site and I’m going through Clickbank, looking for potential affiliate programs to promote.

Not only am I considering personally promoting the products that I find, but I may recommend that customers who purchase my PLR articles at EasyPLR.com promote them, too.

Time and time again, I’m shaking my head, wondering if these Internet Marketers realize how many potential affiliates they are losing, as I click the red “x” and go to the next product. And, of course, this isn’t only a problem with the products listed at places like Clickbank (and it certainly isn’t a reflection of the quality of Clickbank, itself).

Affiliate Programs everywhere are lacking in their professionalism and respect for their affiliates.

It’s pretty obvious that many people don’t realize what turns off a potential affiliate. Could it be, perhaps, that the people writing and marketing these ebooks have not been successful at Affiliate Marketing themselves?

After much frustration, I’ve decided to run through my list of reasons I did not choose your product to promote, and, instead chose your competition.

1. Your page is gaudy and unappealing.

Now, we all know the saying that ‘Ugly sites sell’. That’s absolutely true. A plain blue or white background with Arial text can make millions. However, a site that looks like a sparkly, flashy mess and gives your visitors a seizure is not cool. Leave the cursors alone. Don’t stick animation on there. And, for goodness sakes, stick with only one or two fonts, please.

2. Typos and spelling errors.

This one is actually kind of frightening. If the product you’re selling is an e-BOOK then please act like you know how to write. Have a friend or even an enemy read and reread your sales letter for you. If you don’t have any friends or enemies, then pay someone. Just don’t try to sell an e-book on a sales page that looks like a third grader wrote it. It’s not going to sell. At least I’m not going to sell it.

3. You offer sales options that I won’t get affiliate credit for on the sales page.

For instance, you list an electronic and a hard-cover version of your book through amazon. Tacky! Why should I send you traffic through Clickbank so that you can make a commission on amazon? Not a chance. Or even worse, you have both a Clickbank button and a paypal button.

And, my #1 biggest irritant –

4. You’ve got google ads or actually have the guts to sell advertising on your page.
(And, no, I’m not joking here.) I don’t even need to go there. Anyone who’s a successful affiliate knows that this is the sign of death for any affiliate program.

So, there you have it. Four reasons why your competition is getting my business and you are not.
